Discernment Documents & Financial Reports
An important part of our gathering is the "business" of the church. Faithfulness and stewardship undergird ministry within MCEC. Documents will be posted over the next few months.

  • MCEC Bylaw Changes
The Executive Council brings a proposed Bylaw revision for delegate approval at the 2019 Annual Church Gathering. While much of the content of the current bylaw is carried over into the revised bylaw, the structure of the proposed revision is significantly different. The Introduction will highlight some of the important differences between the two documents.

Everyone is invited to attend electronically hosted meetings at three different time slots. MCEC’s Zoom platform will be used to inform constituents of the changes and provide information. The advance meetings will be the primary forum to offer feedback on the bylaw. Up to half an hour will be allotted in the agenda to process the motion at the Gathering.
    Scheduled dates and times are
    - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 2
    - 1:30 pm, Thursday, April 11
    - 10:30 am, Saturday, April 20.

Study Psalm 27 in preperation for our time together.
"Psalm 27 expresses a deep, personal relationship with God in times of joy and trouble. It points the way to how we might deepen our relationship with God." - April Yamasaki

Youth Ministry
A consultation is set for April 6 with 25 youth and 25 adults from MCEC. They will name the challenges and dream about the possibilities for youth ministry today and begin to articulate a vision for youth ministry within MCEC. Come and hear what this group of committed leaders across MCEC have discerned together.

Mission Ministry
We anticipate an announcement of who our new Mission Minister will be. Brian Bauman, Mission Minister, will retire December 31, 2019. Come and hear the vision of mission ministry within MCEC. We'll also look at mission ministry in local congregations. How is God calling and leading us?
