Charles Biswas Appointed Office Administrator and Accountant

MCEC is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Biswas to the position of MCEC Office Administrator and Accountant. 

“We are excited to have Charles join the MCEC team,” says John Head, interim operations & finance director. “This is a newly structured position and Charles’ experience and training are an ideal fit to compliment and strengthen the MCEC team.” 

Charles brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of administration, finance and human resources. He has worked with Christian faith-based organizations for the last 10 years in Bangladesh and in North America. He was an administrative and human resources officer with Mennonite Central Committee Bangladesh and served with Caritas and Save the Children International, also in Bangladesh. He completed the Conflict Management and Mediation Training at Fresno-Pacific University and worked with the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program in Fresno, California. 

“My hope is to get to know MCEC congregations and give my best in terms of the work that I do,” says Charles. “Since I have been studying theology, and at the same time I have a background in business administration, the position seemed like a good fit for me.” 

Charles is studying in the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program at Conrad Grebel University College. He and his partner live in the residence apartments where they are campus hosts. They attend Erb Street Mennonite Church.
