Update and Invitation to Pray
for the Executive Minister Search Committee
The Executive Minister Search Committee was formed in Fall 2023 with a mandate to select a candidate to become the new permanent Executive Minister to begin in early 2025. For the past several months our efforts have focused on creating an updated job description via consultations with key stakeholders within MCEC’s constituency and beyond.
We invite your prayers as the job description is finalized and we move on to the next stages of work.
We anticipate concluding this phase of our work within about one month. At that time the work will shift to new phases: publicly posting the role, receiving applications and reaching out to potential candidates, conducting interviews, selecting a candidate, and presenting a recommendation to the Executive Council for approval. We invite your prayers as the job description is finalized and we move on to the next stages of work.
Join us in asking God to call candidates and also for good discernment for all on the search committee. Our prayer is that MCEC will continue to grow into our purpose of Energizing Congregations, Encouraging Leaders, and Embodying God’s reconciling ministry for all creation.
