Christina Cox Begins as Communications Assistant
MCEC is pleased to welcome Christina Cox to the role of Communications Assistant.
“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to join MCEC in this role,” says Christina. “MCEC has been an important part of my faith journey, and I’m excited to help share the stories of the people and congregations who make up this vibrant community. I look forward to learning, growing and serving alongside such thoughtful and Spirit-led leaders.”
"I hope to help MCEC communicate in ways that feel authentic, hopeful and rooted in who we are." - Christina Cox
Christina will play a key role in sharing MCEC’s story—drawing on her strengths in social media management and creative content development to support leaders, accompany congregations and help us live more fully into being a people transformed by God’s love, inspired by Jesus and called by the Spirit.
“We are excited to have Christina join the team,” says Lisa Williams, Communications Director. “Her creative eye and thoughtful approach to communications will enrich how we share the stories of our congregations and leaders across MCEC.”
Before joining MCEC, Christina worked in the private sector in security and risk management, providing communication and administrative support to teams navigating complex and sensitive work. In that environment, she cultivated strong organizational skills, clear and purposeful communication and a steady, thoughtful presence—gifts she now brings to MCEC’s communications ministry.
Christina and her family have been part of several MCEC congregations over the years, including Niagara United Mennonite Church, The Gathering, St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, Crosshill Mennonite Church and Floradale Mennonite Church, where her husband, Steve, serves on the pastoral team. She looks forward to drawing on these experiences as she supports MCEC’s mission and helps tell the stories that shape our shared life.
“I hope to help MCEC communicate in ways that feel authentic, hopeful and rooted in who we are,” Christina adds. “My prayer is that through the stories we share, whether online, in print or in person, people will feel more connected to one another and more aware of how God is at work among us. I’m excited to help highlight the voices of our congregations and leaders as we live into our shared calling together.”
Christina began her ministry with MCEC on October 17, 2026. You can welcome her at ccox@mcec.ca.
