MCEC is pleased to share plans for a new working agreement between Mennonite Church Canada, Regional Churches across MC Canada and the Canadian Mennonite Publishing Service (CMPS), the publisher of Canadian Mennonite. 

For many years, MCEC and Regional Churches have worked alongside Canadian Mennonite through the Every Home Plan (EHP), ensuring that households remain connected to the stories, ministries and shared life of the wider Mennonite church. The current EHP agreement will conclude at the end of 2026.

In preparation for this transition, Mennonite Church Canada has worked with CMPS to develop a renewed agreement on behalf of all Regional Churches. The new arrangement strengthens the relationship between CMPS, Regional Churches and Mennonite Church Canada while creating a sustainable foundation for the future of Canadian Mennonite. 

The agreement introduces a transparent and consistent funding model across all regions. Costs will be more directly associated with subscriptions, making support for this shared ministry clearer and easier to understand. Historically, MCEC absorbed many of these costs in ways that were less visible. While the funding model is changing, MCEC will continue to provide financial support to Canadian Mennonite.

Canadian Mennonite will now work directly with congregations and individuals to manage subscriptions. Subscriptions will no longer be processed through Regional Church offices. Additional details and next steps will be shared when the agreement is finalized. 

By supporting Canadian Mennonite, congregations and individuals help sustain a publication that brings Mennonites together across Canada, shares stories of faith and ministry and nurtures a sense of belonging within the wider church.
