Welcome Kitchener Emmanuel Church to Full Membership with MCEC
April 17th
We welcome Kitchener Emmanuel Church in full membership with MCEC.
“Over the past eight years, we have journeyed with MCEC in a provisional status, and we are deeply grateful for the relationships, support and shared mission we have experienced within this family of faith.”
This church, formerly known as Matu-Chin Christian Church, is a community of over 50 members who have met together since 2016. Joining MCEC as a provisional congregation in 2017, they are very excited to progress to full member status.
They write, “Over the past eight years, we have journeyed with MCEC in a provisional status, and we are deeply grateful for the relationships, support and shared mission we have experienced within this family of faith.”
Composed largely of worshipers from the Chin province of Myanmar, this community meets on Sunday afternoons, sharing space with St. Agatha Mennonite Church. Their relationship with St. Agatha is an exciting new chapter for the congregation, established over the past year. The congregation is led by Pastor Thing Sai.
Kitchener Emmanuel Church will be welcomed into full membership at MCEC ACG 2025, and more publicly welcomed at MC Canada Gathering 2025 this summer.
