May 21stAbout Leamington!
Leamington is the southernmost community of Canada with a moderate and inviting climate. It is situated on Lake Erie and is a diversified rural/urban centre surrounded by agriculture, wineries, manufacturing and health & human services, including a hospital: Erie Shores Health Care. Both public and private Christian elementary and secondary schools are located in the area, several of which offer French Immersion, Arts, Robotics, and other specialty programs. Point Pelee National Park is located in the area, which is a center of wildlife and birding activity.
The town is 45 minutes away from 2 large urban centres: Windsor and Chatham both of which provide specialized medical facilities, colleges and the University of Windsor. Detroit International Airport is 1hr and 15minutes away, with Toronto Pearson International Airport approximately 3hrs and 30 minutes away.
The Leamington and surrounding area is expanding, with job opportunities available in the business, agricultural and greenhouse industries, manufacturing, as well as medical and caregiver career possibilities.
