Job opportunity: Director of Operations

Mennonite World Conference (MWC) is called to be a communion of Anabaptist-related churches linked to one another in a worldwide community of faith for fellowship, worship, service and witness. MWC is currently inviting applications to contribute to that mission in the role of Director of Operations.

Do you love financial planning & reporting and supervising operations, including employee services, archives and information technology?

We are seeking someone like you to lead the Operations department of Mennonite World Conference (MWC) and serve on the Leadership Team and the Senior Staff Team.

The Director of Operations works closely with the General Secretary to advance the mission and vision of MWC, contributing to the development of the organization’s strategic priorities and operational plan.

Online Prayer Hour

You are invited to the join the global family in prayer. Over the hour, we begin with a welcome, invocation and brief presentation of a prayer testimony from within the global family.

Participants from around the world are then divided into groups of 5-10 people to pray in breakout rooms for most of the hour.

At the close, all the groups come back together and the group leaders share one highlight from their group’s prayers.

Upcoming prayer hour events are at 14:00 UTC (9 or 10 EST, depending on DST).

Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday

Each year, Anabaptist-related churches around the world are encouraged to worship around a common theme on a Sunday close to 21 January, usually the fourth Sunday in January. (On that date in 1525, the first Anabaptist baptism took place in Zurich, Switzerland.)

Anabaptist World Fellowship Sunday provides an opportunity to remember our common roots and celebrate our worldwide koinonia. MWC collects prayers, testimonies and sermon reflections from our members around the world for a worship resource package each year.
