Do you ever get overwhelmed by all the e-mails you have to get through? Or maybe you find it difficult to manage the mental and emotional burdens that come with certain tasks? Whatever it is, get ready because MCEC Administrators day is coming up soon. Our theme this year is Bringing Order out Of Chaos. As administrators, we do the work of bringing order and organization to our workplaces and sometimes the starting point can be a little chaotic.

Bethany Mazereeuw will speak to us about the myths around time management, energy and emotional management, organizing your workspace (whether working from the office or from home) and provide hands-on tips for managing the never-ending task list. In addition, she will touch on Biblical principles for working well and self-care. As a recovering workaholic, Bethany is dedicated to helping people work smarter through managing their energy, emotions and engagement. Her faith is at the foundation of all she does, as is her passion for learning and coaching others along the way.

Bethany was born in Ottawa, but has called Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario her home for almost 5 decades. She has obtained her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma (eliminating waste from workflows), a BA in psychology and a Master of Social Work, both of which help her understand how to manage the emotional part of being an effective worker. She has worked in all 3 sectors: private, not-for-profit and public, and has most recently launched Symplicated Inc. with her husband Greg, a company that helps people declutter their lives through their homes, closets, calendars and even their diets. In early 2020, they purchased Senior's Move, which specializes in helping people rightsize and relocate to retirement living. She is passionate about coaching people to cut through the clutter towards freedom that comes from simple living.
