Community Peace Summit hosted by Toronto Chinese Mennonite Church

Join us for an afternoon of imagination and dialogue. Youth completing the Foundations of Peace program will present their work and community members will explore what peace means and how we can have more peace in our lives and in the world. 

Youth Perspectives: a Photovoice project 

During the course of the Foundations of Peace week, the youth will conduct a Photovoice project, using an Everyday Peace Indicators framework, that they will then prepare and present at the Community Peace Summit as a gallery of peace. Friends, family, neighbors, and anyone interested are welcome to come hear from the youth and engage with the gallery. 

Community Dialogue: a World Café experience 

The Community Peace Summit is an opportunity to listen and learn from each other. Through a World Café model, you will get to share and explore themes of peace at tables facilitated by youth and members of a local Peace Affinity Group with presence from the Asia Pacific Peace Museum and UWaterloo's Peace and Conflict Studies department.
