Workshops Annual General Meeting Year in Review
The Annual General Meeting is a vital part of our Annual Church Gathering—a time when we come together as a community of faith to discern, discuss and make decisions that shape our shared ministry. The AGM portion of our day is from 1:30-3:45 p.m. and will be live-streamed.
Delegates from congregations across our region play a crucial role in this work. Through prayerful conversation, reports, presentations and voting on key matters, delegates help chart the direction of our life together—ensuring that the voice of the wider church is heard and honored.

Discernment & Reflection Questions
We invite you to offer your prayerful and thoughtful insight as together we listen for God’s leading for MCEC. Please complete this feedback form and come ready to share your reflections with your table group. Your voice matters and your discernment will help shape the early stages of our next strategic plan over the coming 12-18 months. Together, we continue to listen for the Spirit and follow God’s leading in the way of Jesus.
Bylaw Updates
Our bylaws help shape how we live, serve, and make decisions as a church community. As MCEC continues to grow and adapt, we periodically review these guiding documents to ensure they reflect who we are and how God is calling us to work together. This update strengthens clarity, supports healthy leadership, and helps us steward our shared ministry with care and integrity.
Discernment Documents
These are the documents that you need to review before the Annual Church Gathering. Skip the print and download to your device. WIFI is available at Steinmann Mennonite and we are trying to maintain the bandwidth for our French siblings who will require it for translation purposes.

Audited Financial Statements
Here are the audited financial statements for acceptance at the Annual Church Gathering. We will review the internal financial statements - you will find them in the discernment documents.
We accept the Audited Financial Statements because they have already been carefully examined by an independent professional. The auditor confirms that our records are accurate and that our finances have been handled with integrity. These statements are important for accountability, but they are often technical and difficult to interpret without accounting training.
To support understanding, we review the internal financial statements, which present the very same financial information in a clearer, more accessible format. These internal statements help us see the story behind the numbers, notice trends and understand how our resources are being used in ministry.
Together, both sets of statements give us confidence in our stewardship: the audited statements offer assurance, and the internal statements help us understand.
