When an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church moves to another regional church, the receiving regional church will request the transfer of their credential. The only credential that is transferable is an ordination credential, transferred through MennoData, the online Mennonite Church Canada/Mennonite Church USA database. If the minister was previously licensed and would like to be licensed again in their new area church, they will have to re-enter the licensing process.

Ministers ordained in other Christian faith traditions who want to be ordained in the Mennonite Church must go through the licensing and ordination process.
